Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)
Platelet rich plasma (PRP) is harvested from your own blood and contains platelets, growth factors and active tissues to promote tissue and collagen production. It has been used historically to accelerate wound healing and promote tendon and muscle repair. Cosmetically, when injected back into the skin by a fine syringe or micro-cannula, it is the catalyst for a localized stem cell response. Over time, the benefits can be seen in a build up of tissue volume, and collagen production which leads to a more youthful appearance, and an improvement in skin tone and texture.

PRPs most exciting feature is that it is YOUR body, YOUR blood and YOUR plasma. Nothing artificial, nothing modified and therefore is 100% safe.
What is involved?
A small sample of your blood is taken and processed to separate the plasma from the other components. The plasma is then prepared and injected into the skin.
How long does the procedure take?
The procedure can take between 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the area being treated.
Are there any side effects?
Each person is unique in how they respond, but some people can experience slight swelling, redness and minimal bruising immediately after the procedure. If they do occur, they resolve within a few days.
How long will it take to see results?
Platelet rich plasma is a long term investment in your skin. Visible rejuvenation can be seen between 3-6 weeks and continue to improve over months. Best results are attained through 3-6 consecutive treatments.
Are there any contraindications?
Please inform Dr Soliman if you are pregnant, or taking any medication including blood thinning medication, steroidal or undergoing any long term therapies.
